The status report
Open a client and choose Status report under Client actions, the dots menu beside the client’s name. The report lists every request pack in the client with its counts, and every request with its section, status, who it is with, when it is needed and when it last moved. It is generated the moment you open it and says so at the top, with your name.
- Print gives a clean paper copy: the rail, the buttons and the back link drop away, and each pack’s table breaks across pages without splitting a row.
- Download CSV gives one row per request, with the same columns plus the last activity in full, for a spreadsheet or whatever system you keep client records in.
Anyone who asks “where are we” can be answered with the printed page. It gives every name in full, your team’s included, so look it over first when several people answer for one client: on their own page they see each other only as a first name and initial.
Exporting the activity trail
The Activity page, at /activity in the app, holds every action Docsroom has recorded. Narrow it by Client, by Kind or by Who did it, then open the dots menu beside Filters and choose Export CSV. It downloads the rows as a file named by the day. The columns are when, who, the action, the detail, the client, the request pack and the request. The file opens cleanly in Excel and in Numbers.

Table and form answers
A request answered with a table (hours worked, a list of new starters, a stock count, a guest list) or a form has Download as CSV beside the answer on the request page, once it has been submitted. Payroll inputs walks through one example.
All of a client’s data as one file
On the Download files page, Data export gives everything Docsroom holds about that client as one JSON file: the people, every pack and request, replies, the details of each file and the activity trail. It is the answer to “can we have our data” and to anyone who asks what is held about them. File contents are not inside it; they come from the ZIP. Link secrets are never included.
Files
Files are exported as a ZIP from the same Download files page, which Download all files under Client actions opens: everything, only what is new since the last download, or everything up to a previous download. See Downloading files.
A test email
Under Settings, then Email delivery, choose Send me a test email. Docsroom sends one message to your own address through the same route request emails take, and says on the page whether it went. If email is not set up on the server, the button is greyed out and the line beside it says what to set first.
